RNA viruses are a significant cause of morbidity and mortality throughout the world. Our lab focuses on identifying and characterizing the interactions of pathogenic vector-borne emerging RNA viruses with their host cells on various levels hoping to single out new targets for therapeutic interventions.

Current work in the lab includes projects aimed at identifying host factors essential for viral infection and replication, understanding the mode of action of innate immunity factors affecting viral replication, and identifying disease progression markers.
